Animas River Wetlands

The Animas River Wetlands project is a wetland creation and mitigation effort located on the Animas River in southwest Colorado. It aims to provide an off-site alternative for mitigating impacted wetlands and to expand and enhance the natural wetlands in the Animas River watershed. The project offers wetland and stream mitigation credits, which can be used to offset the loss of wetlands or streams in US waters.
