Since 1981, Aspen Trout Guides has been teaching thousands of visitors the art of fly fishing in the high streams, rivers, and lakes of Aspen. As Aspen’s oldest guide service, we hold White River National Forest permits that allow us to access exclusive private waters and remote locations not available to other companies. Our experienced guides lead half-day, full-day, and custom overnight trips on the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan, Blue, and Geneva rivers, as well as numerous reservoirs like Ruedi and Thomas Lakes. We provide fully outfitted wade and float trips, including all equipment such as graphite rods, Gore-Tex waders, and felt-soled boots, along with delicious lunches. For those seeking instruction, we offer one-on-one casting clinics and stocked pond adventures for children. Based out of Hamilton Sports Pro Shop, we cater to serious anglers and families alike, ensuring a memorable experience on Gold Medal waters. We also organize international trips to South America, New Zealand, and Iceland for our most adventurous clients.
