Gail and Brad Matthiessen founded Vistas and Vineyards to serve as a quiet, convivial hangout near the local vineyards and Palisade Plunge. This adults-only lodging and dining experience sits on the Fruit and Wine Byway in Palisade, Colorado. The property operates as a solar-powered, eco-friendly retreat where guests can recharge in themed rooms and suites sleeping up to four. A new addition, the 2022 bunkhouse, features full-sized and XL twin bunks with a private entrance. Accommodations include the Ocean Suite with a spa tub, the Vistas Room, the Vineyards Suite, and the Southwest Sunsets Room adorned with Native art. One Ocean Suite allows pets, while the rest of the inn remains non-smoking but permits outdoor cannabis use. Breakfast service offers continental options on weekdays and hearty country breakfasts on weekends, with complimentary soft beverages available all day. Guests bringing bikes and hiking shoes can utilize secure bike storage and coordinate rentals for bicycles and paddle boats. The grounds feature a firepit, bocce ball courts, and a Zen garden for relaxation.
