Founders Jaime and Celina brought authentic El Salvador flavors to Basalt with Estilo Salvadoreno, a local spot where we specialize in handmade corn pupusas. These gluten-free tortillas come filled with cheese, pork and beans, or the delicate loroco flower, always served with curtido, a tangy pickled cabbage slaw. We also prepare chicken tamaales wrapped in banana leaf and fried plantains drizzled with cane sugar caramel. For a heavier meal, the chicken torta arrives on bolillo bread, loaded with stewed chicken, slaw, and vegetables. Larger gatherings are easy to handle through our catering service, which requires 24 hours notice for pupusas and 72 hours for other dishes.
