Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area

The Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area is a 62,844-acre protected area managed by the BLM Uncompahgre Field Office. It features a diverse landscape, including adobe badlands and rugged pinyon and juniper-covered slopes, as well as the Gunnison Gorge Wilderness, which offers opportunities for trout fishing, whitewater boating, and exploring geologic formations. The area also includes the Flat Top-Peach Valley OHV Area and allows for horse riding and other recreational activities.
