Ridgway Fire Department

The Ridgway Fire Department is a team of volunteers and career firefighters who provide firefighting services to the Ridgway Fire Protection District, which encompasses approximately 80 square miles in Ouray County. The department's members are trained in structural and wildland firefighting, with some also trained in specialties such as arson investigation, haz-mat awareness, emergency medical response, and vehicle extrication. The department is led by a chief and captains, and includes volunteer officers and firefighters who work together to respond to emergencies in the area.
