DetailsFormed in 1992 and securing non-profit status two years later, the TARA Historical Society and Community Center stands as a private 501(c)3 organization rooted in the four towns of Tiffany, Allison, Rosa, and Arboles. We operate as a dynamic multi-use space where the acronym TARA reflects our respect for local history while fostering a gathering place for current residents. Our mission drives us to preserve the unique culture of this multi-ethnic area through display cases and archives that hold records, documents, and stories. The facility offers a library for quiet study, a thrift store for browsing, and a full kitchen ready for catering or class preparation. For larger gatherings, the banquet hall provides ample room, while outdoor amenities include a playground and basketball court for active recreation. We rent both our indoor and outdoor spaces to the public, hosting educational opportunities, community events, and family get-togethers. Donations remain tax-deductible under Colorado law, supporting our ongoing work to share ideas and build community. Members and visitors alike can join us in participating in the activities and programs that keep our local heritage alive and relevant.
