Telluride Fire Protection District

The Telluride Fire Protection District provides emergency services to a 350 square mile area, including fire suppression, emergency medical response, and rescue operations. The district's services also include wildfire suppression, hazardous materials investigation, and fire prevention, as well as public education and fire safety inspections. The district is staffed by a combination of career personnel and volunteer firefighters, and operates out of four stations to provide 24/7 coverage to the community.
