WHAT
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE
A portion of west central Colorado, including the following county, Mesa.
WHEN
Until 615 PM MDT.
IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- At 415 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.6 and 1.1 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... East Salt Creek, Badger Wash, McDonald Creek and Bitter Creek Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of Northwestern Mesa County - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
