Aaron Larget-Caplan: Guitar America in Rifle, Colordao

    About This Event

“A riveting artist” (The Washington Post), international guitarist, composer, and Colorado native, Aaron Larget-Caplan performs music from his latest album ‘Guitar America 250 – Revolutionaries and Rockstars’. Larget-Caplan’s 1-hour solo program explores music from pre-Civil War through the World Wars, mid-century classical composers including Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin, and John Cage, pop culture icons Paul Simon and Eddie Van Halen, and living composers including Larget-Caplan himself. “Aaron Larget-Caplan is a riveting artist. His classical guitar performance was a treasure.” – THE WASHINGTON POST Composer and classical guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan searches for the life in music & music in life. He has premiered over 120 compositions, directs the Spanish music & dance ensemble ¡Con Fuego!, while curating the New Lullaby Project commissioning endeavor, and the Now Musique recital series. His arrangements and recording of the music of John Cage are the first to be sanctioned by the estate and have received international accolades. He has 11 solo albums which have earned over 6 million streams, including albums dedicated to J.S. Bach, John Cage, Spanish romantic and flamenco composer, contemporary composers, and his own music. Raised in Colorado he makes his home in Boston. “Mr. Larget-Caplan represents the ideal 21st century artist. More than just a guitarist, he is an ambassador of the instrument.” – THOMAS SCHUTTENHELM, DIRECTOR NETWORK FOR NEW MUSIC ALCGuitar.com • twitter/IG/FB/Patreon: @ALCGuitar • YT/TT: aaronlcguitar
