
SnowSchool isn't just for kids- come learn about the science of snow with Yampatika! Throughout the day, we'll dig a snowpit, study snow-water equivalency, conduct a column test, and more. This is a perfect introductory course to snow science for winter recreators, backcountry skiers, or curious lifelong learners. We will be on snowshoes and cover ~1 mile total. Location - TBD based on snow conditions, likely Rabbit Ears Pass. You will receive an email one week before the program with location information. Time - We will meet at the Yampatika office at 9:15am. Transportation will be provided via 15-passenger van to the SnowSchool site. We will arrive back that the Yampatika office around 1:30pm. Refunds - Refunds are not offered within one week of the program. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on the Friday before the program. If we do not have our minimum number of 6 participants, we will cancel the program, notify participants, and issue refunds.
