Join us at Elks Park in Telluride for a free local concert featuring Brendan Forrest & Friends as part of the Elks Park Summer Music Series, presented by Augment and Telluride Arts. Blending country, Americana, folk, and bluegrass influences, Brendan Forrest brings heartfelt songwriting, intricate flatpicking, and a deep sense of place to every performance. Rooted in traditional acoustic music while carrying a fresh, contemporary spirit, Brendan’s sound moves between intimate storytelling, high-energy picking, and warm mountain-town charm. A seasoned singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Brendan has spent more than 20 years performing and collaborating across four continents, with musical credits alongside Michael Cleveland, Dominick Leslie, Allie Kral, Duncan Wickel, George Jackson, Jake Stargel, and more. Gather in the park for an evening of live music, community, and summer in Telluride. Brendan Forrest is a Southwest Colorado-based Folk/Americana/Bluegrass artist whose music draws on bluegrass, folk, Celtic tradition, and Americana without neatly fitting into any one lane. Born into an Irish-American family on Chicago’s North Side, Forrest began on the highland bagpipe before guitar became his central instrument. His work has taken him through Chicago jazz studies, international travel, production, songwriting, and collaborations with acclaimed musicians, including Michael Cleveland, Dominick Leslie, Duncan Wickel, George Jackson, and Jake Stargel. Rooted now in San Miguel County, Forrest writes songs shaped by movement, memory, place, and tradition.
