Bergen Spay & Neuter Alliance is holding a four-day clinic for cats and dogs on Thurs.-Sun., Aug. 7-10 at the Mesa County Fairgrounds community building. Bergen will set up its mobile operation and offer low-cost, high-quality spay and neuter services for community members who struggle to afford veterinary care for their owned pets, or for feral/community cats they may be caring for. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Bergen collaborates with local volunteers and nonprofit, veterinary and governmental agencies to host these community clinics. Mesa County Animal Services will be a Grand Junction clinic partner again this year. Clinic base fees range from $0-$170 and include sterilization, basic vaccinations and microchipping. Feral cats are free.
