    About This Event

Celebrate 50 years of music, community, and a cherished summer tradition at the 2026 Salida Aspen Concerts series.

The beloved Salida Aspen Concerts series returns beginning July 11 with a special gift to the community: free admission to the opening concert in celebration of the series’ 50th anniversary and to thank the community for its longtime support.

Presented in partnership with the Aspen Music Festival and School, the series brings world-class musicians to Salida for six Saturday evening performances running weekly from July 11 through Aug. 15.

Concerts are held at the Salida High School auditorium. Regular admission is $30 per concert, with free admission for all K–12 students. An adult accompanying a K–12 student receives half-price admission.

Tickets are available at the door and online through Salida Aspen Concerts. Season tickets are available now through July 11 online and at the first concert. Season packages offer exceptional value — purchase four concerts and receive the fifth free. Memberships are also available online. Salidaaspenconcerts.org.

July 11: William Yeh, violin with piano accompaniment. Yeh is Aspen’s Dorothy DeLay fellowship prize winner this year. At 14, he is one of the youngest winners ever. Yeh has been attending the Aspen school since he was 11, winning the fellowship this year. He is enrolled in the pre-college program at Juilliard. His Grand Prix winning performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major Op 35 during the 2025 Concerto Competition is on YouTube.

July 18: Angel Stanislav Wang – solo piano. Out of 340 competitors in the 2025 Cliburn International Piano Competition, Wang was one of the top six. At 23, he was the youngest competitor to make the final six.

July 25: Piano-Palooza – great pianists of the festival play iconic repertoire.

Aug. 1: Hao Yang – classical guitar. Yang is a student of and the teaching assistant for Sharon Ibsin, Aspen’s head of guitar. Ibsin began the classical guitar program at Juilliard and spends her summers at Aspen. She sends her top guitarists to Salida. Yang is from China and has performed in many major venues including Carnegie Hall and last year in Salida.

Aug. 8: Steven Spooner, a new faculty member at Aspen Music Festival and School. Spooner’s uniquely compelling performances have been hailed worldwide. He has released more than 45 recordings, including a monumental 10-volume Liszt survey. At times he daringly reinvents the solo recital, allowing audiences to vote on the spot for one of five programs he has prepared.

Aug. 15: Edgar Meyer, double bass, and Amy Yang, piano. Meyer’s styles include classical, bluegrass, newgrass and jazz. He has won seven Grammy Awards and been nominated 10 times. Visiting professor of double bass at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, he has performed with many other musicians and in a great variety of venues. Yang has played in most major music venues from Carnegie Hall to Salida. She is an alumna of the Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School and the Yale School of Music.
