Join us for four weeks of poetry writing inside the inspirational walls of the Wright Opera House Tavern. The Monday night course will explore the essence of creative poetry as an extension of your thoughts and feelings. Collaborate within our community with other poetically minded folks and enjoy in-real-life constructive feedback. We will provide prompts each week for optional online submission. The course will culminate on the final Friday night with a TBA published poet and open-mic reading where attendees can read their work aloud. We will guide you through all stages of your journey, from beginner trial and error, depth in craft, to exploration of genre and form to hone your collection. Read, write and explore—all skill levels welcome.

Her poetry was nominated for the AWP Intro Journals Project and placed in the third round of Colorado Hearts and Minds. She is published in the Waters Journal at Watertower Press, and online at Stick Figure Poetry, and Spillwords Press, among others. Since 2024, she co-hosts a monthly writing group, and is a member of Women Writing the West. She writes at the end of her family’s dining table with a snoring Bern-Newfie at her feet.
