The Colorado Riverfront Trail's Las Colonias Section is a gentle, easy ride suitable for families and beginners. This section of the trail follows the Colorado River and is characterized by a relatively flat route with minimal elevation gain, given its low elevation of 1395 feet. The trail surface is generally smooth and well-maintained, making it accessible to a wide range of riders. From April to October, riders can enjoy the scenic views of the river and surrounding landscape, and parking is available at various access points along the trail, with pets also welcome to accompany their owners.
