A Church

Sheree Beddingfield purchased this downtown Salida building in 2016, transforming a historic church into A Church, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to connection and positive change. The venue features a multi-tiered stage, professional sound, and lighting systems that support a diverse calendar of events. Weddings, private parties, lectures, discussions, and music performances fill the schedule, drawing on the space’s flexible layout for both celebration and mourning.

The organization serves as a hub for nonprofits, civic groups, and individuals focused on arts, recreation, social service, and education. A distinctive feature is the community fridge, which supports local families and clients by providing accessible resources. The venue identifies as LGBTQ+ friendly and welcomes open-minded gatherings that deepen understanding among neighbors.

Manager Andrea coordinates bookings with a reputation for being respectful, hard-working, and easy to collaborate with.
