Guiding hunters through Taylor Park and the Gunnison/Crested Butte Valley since 1984, AEI Outfitter operates from a base camp on 1,500 acres of private land. The property sits under the Collegiate Peaks mountain range and Continental Divide, with elevations ranging from 8,000 feet to peaks exceeding 13,000 feet. Early in the season, hunters pursue game from this private ground. Later in October, the outfit shifts its base to Gunnison to access wintering grounds across Game Management Units 54, 55, 551, and 67. These expansive permits cover more than 500,000 acres of land managed by the USFS, BLM, and NPS. The service menu includes archery elk hunting, muzzleloader elk hunting, rifle elk hunting, mule deer hunting, mountain goat hunting, sheep hunting, and Shiras moose hunting. Professional guides lead these adventures during Colorado’s archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons. The business holds a Colorado Guide and Outfitter license (#1206) and operates as an equal opportunity service provider.
