Alpine Arts Center

Lauren Merrill’s dream, realized in Edwards, Alpine Arts Center has been buzzing with creative energy since its doors first opened. Growing up on Long Island and graduating from The University of Michigan with a B.F.A., Lauren moved to the Vail Valley after five years teaching art at Vail Mountain School. With help from her father, a retail ski shop owner, she transformed the space into a hub for creative exploration. Today, we offer classes and drop-in activities for all ages, inviting everyone to pick up a brush or try wood burning. Rachel, our painting instructor and creative force, leads Cocktails & Canvas sessions while exploring acrylics and digital art. The center also features a store stocked with local gifts and art supplies, making it easy to take home a piece of your creation. From K-12 workshops to adult evening classes, Alpine Arts Center remains a special place where the community gathers to make art together.
