Angry James Brewery

Angry James Brewing Co. traces its roots to a 2014 decision by founder AJ and his wife Darcy to leave their Denver home behind and build a craft brewery on a small plot of land in Silverthorne. Construction began in early 2016, taking two years of hard work from family, friends, and subcontractors before the doors opened on a cold evening in late January 2018. The taproom features 16 taps serving a range of beers crafted with an eye toward tradition and innovation. Guests often gather on the spacious heated patio, which accommodates up to 70 people for private parties or casual sipping. Dogs are welcome on the patio provided they remain leashed, a policy enforced by health regulations once the on-site food option, Mountain Melt, began serving. Mountain Melt specializes in elevated grilled cheese sandwiches, utilizing local bread and fresh ingredients to create innovative pairings of cheeses and fruits. The brewery also sells its own branded apparel, including hats, tees, and hoodies designed by an in-house artist, and offers gift cards for those looking to share the experience.
