Archetype Distillery

Our wine-grape distilled gins and vodkas trace back to Old World recipes, offering a flavor profile that challenges the typical piney gin and neutral vodka stereotypes. Michael Chapyak, our President and Master Distiller, founded Archetype to bring these unique spirits to life, utilizing a process that distills directly from wine grapes rather than grains or potatoes. We operate two distinct locations for visitors: a tasting room in Vail Village and our production distillery in Gypsum. In Vail Village, guests can sample our core spirits alongside craft cocktails and lite bites, or dive deeper with immersive cocktail classes that cover mixology techniques and the history behind our bottles. Our approach focuses on quality over quantity, sourcing only the finest ingredients to create a premium spirit experience that encourages curiosity and savoring every sip.
