We sit adjacent to Beaver Creek in Edwards, offering direct mountain access and year-round outdoor recreation within our gated community. Our history traces back to 1862, when pioneers farmed hay and lettuce under the Homestead Act. In 1946, Pete Dodo purchased McCoy Ranch, leveling 1,200 acres to raise Hereford cattle before selling the land in 1972. Jim Krentler bought the property that same year, commissioning Kingsbury Pitcher to cut The Real McCoy, Arrowhead’s first ski run. Marty Mankamyer named the development after finding a white quartz arrowhead, likely of Ute origin. The Country Club of the Rockies opened in 1979 with a course designed by Jack Nicklaus, who built his home here. We feature hiking, snowshoeing, and scenic neighborhood walks alongside top-tier golf. Arrowhead balances adventure with comfort, providing easy access to the Vail Valley while maintaining its unique character as a residential and recreational hub.
