Ascendigo Autism Services, Inc.

Founded in 2004 by Sallie Bernard, Ascendigo Autism Services began as Extreme Sports Camp to bring the benefits of outdoor recreation to individuals on the autism spectrum. Now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley, we serve over 225 individuals annually across children and adults. Our holistic approach combines recreational therapy, applied behavior analysis, speech and language therapy, and life skills development to help integrate people with autism into community life. We focus on person-centered care that honors each individual’s unique interests and strengths, offering services ranging from adventure sports and employment coaching to at-home and in-school support. Through our proprietary Ascendigo Way curriculum, we also educate service providers, caregivers, and community members about autism and effective supports. Our mission remains to empower people and inspire lives by providing access to the same rich experiences available to neurotypical peers.
