Our cabins sit on the banks of the Taylor River in historic Almont, Colorado, where the waters of the Taylor and East converge to form the Gunnison River. The property’s roots trace back to 1914 and the Watzling family’s original homestead, which began with just four rustic cabins and a small general store serving local miners. Today, our family manages a sprawling 61-cabin and home resort that blends historic charm with modern comforts, including brand-new cabins equipped with private hot tubs and fireplaces.

Guests can stay in lodge rooms above our general store or choose from one-to-six-bedroom vacation homes suitable for romantic getaways or large family gatherings. Our on-site Three Rivers Outfitting provides experienced guides for whitewater rafting, fly fishing, and kayaking, while our Orvis Fly Shop caters to anglers. A full-service restaurant and general store keep visitors fed and stocked, and our dance hall offers evening entertainment. Our location serves as an ideal base for exploring Gunnison National Forest, situated conveniently between the towns of Gunnison and Crested Butte. In winter, we facilitate access to downhill skiing at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and Monarch Mountain, as well as 55 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails at Crested Butte Nordic.
