About
Our certified organic orchards in Paonia’s North Fork Valley have been producing sweet cherries, peaches, apples, and pears for generations, a legacy that began when our ancestors homesteaded near McClure Pass over a century ago. We opened the Berg Harvest Mercantile on July 1, 2016, to share this harvest with visitors and locals alike, offering fresh-picked fruit alongside a menu that has grown to include breakfast and lunch staples, New York style pizza, and smoothies. You will find our peaceful cafe just off Highway 133, where we serve freshly made fudge, coffee, and soft-serve ice cream alongside our signature grilled items. The space reflects our family’s dedication to freshness and quality, with modern improvements like a new packing shed and microjet irrigation system ensuring our fruit remains top-tier. We invite you to stop by our facility located along the North Fork of the Gunnison River, about 1.5 hours from Grand Junction, to enjoy a meal or browse our selection of local goods in a setting that honors our agricultural roots.
