Beyul Retreat

Perched 8,300 feet above sea level along the Frying Pan River, Beyul Retreat occupies 32 acres of forested wilderness between Aspen and Vail. This historic guest ranch has evolved into a creative art retreat and backcountry lodge, featuring 15 unique cabins and 7 lodge rooms capable of sleeping more than 70 guests. The property sits within the Maroon Formation, surrounded by red sandstone canyons and groves of Colorado blue spruce, Douglas fir, and aspen. Wildlife such as elk, foxes, black bears, and eagles roam the grounds, which offer direct access to the White River National Forest for hiking, backpacking, and backcountry skiing. Guests utilize the on-site amenities including yoga spaces, saunas, and cold plunge pools, while the main lodge serves as a gathering hub for events hosting up to 80 people. The retreat is situated five minutes beyond Ruedi Reservoir, providing convenient access to sailing and water skiing on the 1,100-acre lake. The landscape shifts dramatically with the seasons, offering deep Rocky Mountain powder in winter and rich foliage in autumn.
