Greg and Sam launched Mountain Adventure Equipment in 2017, evolving into Black Tie Bike Rentals to bring top-of-the-line summer gear to Telluride. Our shop sits in the Mountain Village Core at the base of the bike park, offering convenient parking and easy loading for 4x4 vehicles. We provide mountain bikes, e-bikes, cruisers, and kids bikes alongside stand-up paddleboards and inflatable kayaks. Customers can pick up gear directly from our walk-in shop or have it delivered to their vacation accommodations, with a two-day rental minimum for deliveries. Our gear experts ensure every piece is set up properly before you head out. The shop stocks a full selection of bike parts, clothing, and accessories, and sells bikes outright. For water adventures, SUP rentals include a paddle, personal flotation device, pump, and straps. Bike rentals come with a standard helmet and gloves, while Downhill Demo bikes include a full-face helmet and body armor. You can add locks, tool kits, or upgrade helmets for small fees, and we offer damage waivers to protect your rental as you explore.
