Alyssa Spears founded Cake Me Away in 2015 after her entrepreneurial spark ignited during her time as a student at Western Colorado University. Today, she operates the bakery and cafe in Gunnison, serving the Gunnison and Crested Butte communities with captivating cakes and classic desserts. Her journey includes earning a Business Administration degree in 2016 and a Pastry Arts diploma from Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Boulder in 2020, which allowed her to transition to baking full-time. We specialize in special occasion cakes, including wedding cakes, as well as daily treats for holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. Our cafe invites you to enjoy our sweet creations right here in the valley.
