We operate at 8,671 feet in Lake City, where Henson Creek meets the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River. Our Jeep and UTV rentals open access to the Alpine Loop, connecting this historic mining town to Silverton and Ouray. Guests choose our fleet for the eastern gateway approach to Engineer Pass at 12,800 feet and Cinnamon Pass at 12,640 feet. These routes offer more gradual ascents than their western counterparts while delivering high-altitude alpine vistas and abundant wildlife. Our trails lead directly to Colorado’s mining heritage, including the ghost town of Carson at nearly 12,000 feet and the Capitol City smelter chimney. We operate primarily from late June through early October, with mid-July to August providing the most reliable trail access and spectacular wildflower displays. Our vehicles allow you to explore above-timberline landscapes, visit the Rose's Cabin site, and experience the region’s backcountry without the heavier traffic found on other sections of the loop. We provide wheelchair accessible options and ample parking for all travelers.
