Our home at 129 Elk Avenue sits inside the historic Forest Queen Hotel, a structure that has stood since 1881. Owner Douglas Dodd brings his training from the Culinary Institute of America and experience from properties like The Little Nell and the Hotel Bel Air to our kitchen. We serve daily happy hour specials from 3 to 5 pm, featuring $8 cheeseburgers and $3 draft beers, alongside our popular $2 tacos on Tuesday. The building next to Coal Creek holds a colorful past, including its time in the Main Street red light district and the legend of the ghost Liz. We curate seasonal menus that reflect our diverse hospitality background. The adjacent Forest Queen Hotel offers 2-Star Economy lodging in rooms that retain the historic charm of the late 19th century.
