Colorado Mountain College Rifle

Serving a 40-mile radius across four towns in western Garfield County, the Colorado Mountain College Rifle campus delivers hands-on education tailored for learners of any age. The facility hosts a preschool and supports future teachers through dedicated education pathways in early childhood and elementary instruction. Students pursue associate degrees in arts and sciences, allied health, and business, with minors available in accounting, data analytics, finance, management, and marketing. Technical training spans skilled trades and emergency services, offering certificates in Certified Nurse Aide, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy, medical assisting, automotive, welding, and carpentry. Public safety programs prepare students for roles as Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, and wildland firefighters. Concurrent enrollment allows high school students to earn college credits applicable to CMC credentials or transferable to other institutions. Non-credit opportunities include the Family Fridays program, where children, parents, and grandparents engage in bilingual activities such as family literacy, GED preparation, youth art and STEM, healthy cooking, and Intercambio language exchange. The campus was designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution by the federal government in 2021, recognizing its student body composition and eligibility for additional grant funding. A 12-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio maintains a small-class atmosphere conducive to affordable, high-quality learning.
