Colterris at the Overlook

Colorado’s largest fully estate-grown winery, Colterris at the Overlook spans 75 acres of vineyards along the Colorado River in Palisade, producing quality wines that stand with the very best. Located between 4,800 and 5,000 feet in elevation, our estate benefits from intense sunlight and rich volcanic soils from the nearby Grand Mesa, creating thicker skins on reds and stronger fruits on whites. Visitors can explore three distinct locations: The Overlook, situated on East Orchard Mesa, offers panoramic river views surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and herb gardens; our production site on River Road features a courtyard and wine-making facility with views of De Beque Canyon; and Colterris Collections, located near downtown Palisade, provides spacious indoor seating and a wider selection of wines by the glass. Our portfolio includes fan-favorite varieties such as the 2023 Coral White Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, known for its fresh strawberry and raspberry notes, alongside our flagship 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon which balances bold dark fruit with subtle coffee and leather hints. We also produce limited-edition wines like the 2022 Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon, made strictly from vines that survived the 2021 frost, and the rich 2023 Barrel Fermented Chardonnay with aromas of ripe apricot and toasted almond.
