Crested Butte Mountain Theatre

Since that first summer in 1972, when a group of mountain folk staged Dark of the Moon under a full moon rising behind Crested Butte Mountain, we have been creating inclusive, volunteer-driven productions on the Mallardi Cabaret Stage. Our history includes early performances in drafty Old Town Hall, living rooms, the historic Depot, and the Gothic Building at the base of the ski area. We produce a wide range of live theatre performances, from classics like 39 Steps and Hedwig to original works such as Mary Tuck's Farces, alongside educational programs and improv workshops. The space serves not only for our shows but also as a venue for private events, offering full table service with options like Chet. Our productions celebrate the valley’s creative voices and cultural diversity, bringing together local talent and audiences in an intimate setting.
