Dave and his staff have spent over 25 combined years guiding anglers on Colorado’s unique freestone streams, and Eagle River Outfitter was founded to provide a direct-to-consumer fly fishing guide service in Vail. We operate a full-service fly fishing shop selling essential equipment, including dries, nymphs, streamers, and terrestrials. Our guided experiences range from walk-and-wade trips to float trips on the Eagle River, designed to be a life experience rather than just a four-hour excursion. We also offer ERO Photography, an add-on service that captures your catch so you can keep your rod in hand. To help you plan your own adventure, we publish detailed Eagle River Fishing Reports daily, covering current river flows, water temperatures, hatch activity, bug patterns, and water clarity. Joining one of our guides or fishing on your own, you will find the accurate information needed to target trout successfully in the Vail Valley.
