About
Our handcrafted wines emerge from 6,500 feet of high elevation and cold temperatures that challenge traditional grape growing but reward it with memorable flavor. Fox Fire Farms is a Colorado Centennial farm, owned by the same family for over 100 years, with five generations living and working on this 910-acre livestock ranch. We produce unique hybrid varieties including Marquette, Corot Noir, Traminette, Brianna, Petite Pearl, Marechal Foch, and Vignoles. These cold-hardy grapes withstand our extreme conditions to create exceptional balance in every bottle. We are proud winners of the Governor's Cup, with our Aromella taking Best White Wine at the 2025 Colorado Uncorked event in Denver. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, picnics, and special events against our stunning green backdrop. During the warmer months, we host Friday night events featuring music, food, and wine from 6 to 9 PM. Our doors are open Thursday through Sunday from May 15 to October 31, with extended Friday night hours running from the first Friday in June through the last Friday in September. Located 30 miles southeast of Durango and 45 miles southwest of Pagosa Springs, we offer a peaceful escape for wine lovers seeking quality and history.
