Opened in 2011, the 55,000 square foot Fruita Community Center serves as a multi-use hub for recreation and civic life. The facility houses the Mesa County Library Fruita Branch alongside a dedicated Senior Center, creating a shared space for learning and socializing. Athletic enthusiasts utilize the gymnasium for drop-in basketball and scheduled pickleball sessions, while the fitness area offers free weights, selectorized equipment, and cardio machines. A running track circles the interior, accessible to youth aged 10 to 13 with adult supervision. The aquatic complex features an indoor pool with five lap lanes, a leisure area, spa, water slide, climbing wall, diving board, and tot zone. A seasonal outdoor pool complements the indoor offerings during warmer months. Meeting rooms are available for community gatherings, and locker rooms with showers support active visitors. The center operates daily with specific hours that vary by day, and pool access closes 30 minutes before the facility shuts down. Age policies ensure safety, requiring guardians for children under 10 and fitness orientations for youth aged 14 to 16 in the exercise areas.
