The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, known locally as The Amp, stands as an intimate outdoor venue in Vail, hosting approximately 2,600 guests with sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains. Operated and programmed by the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation, we present a diverse summer calendar that includes Amp Summer Concerts, Bulleit Hot Summer Nights, and the internationally renowned Vail Dance Festival. For more than 35 years, our partners at Bravo! Vail Music Festival have filled our stage with incredible orchestras, while we also welcome Mountains of Music during the GoPro Mountain Games and free Hot Summer Nights concerts. Our seating is divided into expansive grassy Lawn areas, available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a covered Pavilion that seats 1,326 guests across four sections with roughly 17 rows each. Beyond concerts, we serve as a community hub for memorials and high school graduations. The venue is wheelchair accessible, with reasonable accommodations for those with limited mobility, and offers ample parking adjacent to the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and Ford Park. Our Box Office operates daily from 11 am to 5 pm during the season, or through intermission on performance evenings from mid-May to early September.
