Gunnison Arts Center

Three rotating galleries premiering on the first Friday of every month anchor the Gunnison Arts Center, a hub for immersive creative experiences in Gunnison. The facility houses specialized studios including Clay Studio, Dance and Fitness studio, Visual Arts studio, and Culinary Studio Dot's Kitchen. The Blue Box Theater hosts live music and performances, while the Valley Makers Boutique showcases work from local artists. Programs span youth offerings for ages seven through eighteen and adult classes in visual arts, dance, performing arts, ceramics, and literary arts. Membership provides discounts on classes and shop purchases, with tuition assistance available through a rolling application process. The center welcomes volunteers for programming, gallery management, and community outreach, alongside opportunities to teach classes or exhibit work. The Shop supports local art collectives by displaying pieces from both budding artists and professionals to thousands of visitors. Operating Tuesday through Saturday, the center balances educational instruction with public exhibition spaces.
