Hermosa Vineyards

Est. '93 marks the year we purchased our Palisade farm, originally an apple orchard, and began our journey into wine country. By 1994, we had planted 15 varieties of sweet cherries and 17 grape varieties across our main vineyard, capitalizing on the hot, sunlight-drenched days and cool nights of the Grand Valley AVA. We built our winery in 1997, expanded with a second vineyard site purchased in 2005, and opened our tasting room in 2011 to welcome visitors. Our mission is simple: craft the highest quality wine in limited quantities from grapes grown in the high mountain desert of western Colorado. The unique climate, fed by water from the snow-capped peaks of the upper Colorado River Basin, produces some of the finest fruit available anywhere. Visitors sample our hand-crafted wines in our cozy tasting room, enjoying the fresh air and gorgeous views that make Palisade the heart and soul of Colorado's wine country. This desert oasis offers a taste of the region for both locals and travelers alike.
