About
Founded in 1991, Jazz Aspen Snowmass operates as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving jazz through performances and education. The venue serves as the permanent home for JAS, hosting intimate concerts featuring jazz, blues, soul, gospel, New Orleans, and world music. The JAS Café offers a delectable menu from Epicure alongside a hand-selected drink list, with tickets available for the summer season running July 3 through September 18. Every Tuesday, the Paul JAS Center hosts free community nights that include open mic sessions, local showcases, salsa nights, and silent discos. Beyond live performance, the organization has donated over $11 million to music education in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1993, supporting scholarships, workshops, and in-school programs for students of all ages. The iconic Labor Day festival returns to Snowmass Town Park each September, offering three days of music with mid-way pricing options. Jazz Aspen Snowmass continues to expand its instrumental programming and engages the next generation of musicians through its LEI programs, with notable supporters including Walter Isaacson.
