Broadcasting at 88.1 FM in Grand Junction and 96.9 FM across the Peach and Wine Country of Palisade, KAFM Community Radio has been keeping the airwaves alive for listeners since our first broadcast in 1999. Founded by a small group of civic-minded citizens who began discussing the possibility of a locally owned station in 1992, we have grown into the only local community radio station in Grand Junction. Our schedule offers the largest variety of music programming 365 days a week, operating 24/7 with commercial-free content curated by our dedicated volunteer announcers and show hosts. Beyond music, we provide specialty interest talk shows and podcasts that highlight local and regional civic, educational, and charitable resources. You can tune in via our traditional FM frequencies, stream online, or catch us on our new mobile app. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we rely on the generosity of donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support our operations. We are licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to Grand Valley Public Radio Company, Inc., and we remain committed to being a hub for messaging and networking within our signal range.
