Long Family Memorial Park

Spanning 40 acres in Grand Junction, Long Family Memorial Park offers a comprehensive suite of recreational facilities managed by Mesa County. The grounds feature six multipurpose sports fields, a dedicated softball diamond, and an American Ramp Company skate park. Visitors can utilize three playgrounds, two basketball courts, three sand volleyball courts, and an inline hockey rink. A 1.5-mile looped trail winds around a 1.5-acre pond complete with a fountain, providing a scenic route for walkers and joggers. The park includes a memorial plaza and amphitheater, alongside concrete cornhole boards for casual play. Picnic options range from four medium-sized shelters to two larger shelters equipped with restrooms. Parking is available on both the Patterson Road side and the E ½ Road side. Reservations for the shelters are not mandatory but are strongly advised, particularly during the busy summer months, as they fill quickly. Scheduling is handled by the City of Grand Junction.
