Founded in 2008 by Karen Hoskin in Silverton, Montanya Distillers redefined American rum by crafting premium spirits at 9,000 feet in Crested Butte. We honor the traditions of high-altitude distilling from the volcanic islands of the Caribbean and mountainous regions of Central and South America, challenging conventions on who makes award-winning rum and where. Our current leadership team includes Partner and Head Distiller Megan Campbell, whose chemical engineering background and WSET Level 3 certification guide our production, and Partner Renée Newton, who oversees our Tasting Room, retail, and cocktail programs. Sean W. Richards joined in 2023 to lead our marketing initiatives. As a B Corp, we prioritize sustainability and innovation in every bottle.
