Montrose Center for Arts

Our grand re-opening on February 12, 2025, marked a new chapter at 205 E. Main Street, where the Montrose Center for Arts now invites you into a reimagined gallery and classroom space. Since our founding in June 2015, we have grown from a small group of twelve dreamers meeting around town to a established hub for fine art classes and events on the Western Slope. We showcase original artwork from local artists, offering a marketplace where creators can display and sell their work while connecting with appreciative buyers. Visitors to our bright, wheelchair-accessible space can register for classes taught by volunteer instructors, attend interpretive shows like our recent "Let HEART Take Root" exhibition featuring Western trees, or simply browse the rotating displays. We welcome artists to submit their pieces for display and sale, and we offer opportunities for community members to support our mission through donations starting at $10 or by becoming a member for as little as $50. Seasoned professionals expanding their market and new artists discovering their style find a home here to create, share, and volunteer. We strive to promote the excellence of all art forms in Montrose, serving as a gathering place where creativity and community intersect. Our board of directors, led by President Pat Chaloupek, works tirelessly to ensure this space remains a vital resource for art appreciators and creators alike.
