Montrose Regional Health

A Level III Trauma Center anchors Montrose Regional Health, a nonprofit system that has served the Western Slope for decades. The facility operates as a 75-bed hospital supported by over 1,000 staff members and approximately 190 providers spanning more than 30 medical specialties. Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a 2024-2025 High Performing hospital for Heart Attack treatment and Patient Experience, the institution integrates advanced robotic surgical systems, including the daVinci, Globus ExcelsiusGPS™, and Mako robots, into its care model. Beyond acute inpatient services, the organization manages an Ambulatory Care Center and various outreach clinics throughout the region. A dedicated foundation sustains the local medical workforce by supporting healthcare education and workforce development through scholarships. Community engagement remains central to the system's mission, highlighted by an annual Blood Draws and Health Fair that has operated for more than 37 years. This long-standing event offers affordable laboratory testing, such as the HealthScreen Panel, alongside skin spot checks and hearing screenings at the Montrose Pavilion, allowing residents to proactively monitor cholesterol, thyroid function, and other key health indicators.
