About
Our seven-member Board of Trustees guides two physical libraries, an outreach program, and a bookmobile that serves Montrose and Naturita. We provide resources for lifelong learning through online access to the New York Times, auto repair manuals, genealogy tools, and language learning platforms. Our collections span kids' activity bags and Scholastic resources to teen book clubs, literary magazines, and adult programs. The Children's Room hosts Creation Station crafts for ages three to eight, while the Meeting Room welcomes events like Hispanic Heritage Mosaic Craft and Dig In Storytime featuring Alpine Archaeology guests. For travelers, we serve as a U.S. passport acceptance facility where citizens can apply for routine or expedited passports, schedule photo services for a $10 fee, and utilize free digital photos for online renewals. Appointments are required and can be booked via our website, email at [email protected], or by phone. We do not accept walk-ins for passport services, and Spanish-language appointments are available Monday through Thursday. Our staff also offers exam proctoring, interlibrary loans, and community reference services to keep our neighbors connected and informed.
