Mountain Chalet Aspen

Since 1954, the Melville family has operated this Aspen hotel at the base of Aspen Mountain. Ralph and Marian Melville opened their dream lodge between two ski lifts, establishing a legacy that continues with their son Craig and extended family. The Mountain Chalet remains one of the few old-time ski lodges in town, offering a casual, friendly environment where guests interact in our cozy lobby and at breakfast joiner tables. Our modern amenities include free Wi-Fi, 24-hour front desk service, and ample parking. We feature a business conference facility with three rooms that can accommodate up to 200 people, along with a full-featured commercial kitchen for conference dining. Located just two blocks from the Silver Queen Gondola, we are adjacent to the mall, shops, and restaurants. Free shuttles provide easy access to Buttermilk, Highlands, and Aspen/Snowmass. As a non-smoking property, we cater to budget-minded travelers and those seeking comfortable family-style accommodations.
