About

The Pitkin Hotel stands as a historic boutique retreat in Pitkin, Colorado, offering 10 uniquely decorated guest suites that blend early 1900s charm with modern amenities. Our building, originally constructed by the Masons in 1904, was billed as "the most modern and best equipped mountain hotel in Colorado" when it opened. We are the direct descendants of the Bon-Ton Restaurant and small hotel founded by Elizabeth and Thomas Waltham in 1880, a time when over thirty silver and gold mines operated in the surrounding hills. The Bon Ton Bistro remains a cornerstone of our property, serving gourmet meals and drinks daily from 8 AM to 9 PM. Guests can explore the Western Slopes from our comfortable rooms or enjoy fine dining in our restored space. We continue to honor the legacy of the Bon-Ton, which means fashionable and "all the rage," by providing a refined experience for travelers visiting this historic mining town.
