Ralph Stocker Stadium

Opening in 1949, Ralph Stocker Stadium stands as an 8,000-seat landmark in Grand Junction, serving as the home field for the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks. Operated by the City of Grand Junction, our facility is a hub for local athletics and major civic events, hosting high school football games, college commencements, and the Western Colorado Marching Band Festival. The field features modern field turf with a specialized drainage system, allowing us to maintain a high-quality playing surface with reduced maintenance needs. Lighting enables night games, particularly during the early part of the hot fall season in Grand Junction. We underwent a significant $8.6 million renovation in 2011, which upgraded our TV-ready lights, expanded the seating area, and added a new press box, luxury suite, concourse, restrooms, and concession stands. Visitors appreciate our clean facilities and fairly priced concessions, making us a staple for sports lovers and graduates alike.
