About
Built in 1992 as a fabric-tent amphitheater under the Town’s Blue River Reclamation Project, the Riverwalk Center evolved into its current permanent 750-seat structure in 2006, thanks to over $1 million in community and foundation support. Designed by architect Harry Teague, this heated indoor venue sits on the banks of the Blue River in downtown Breckenridge, within the certified Breckenridge Arts District. The space features glass doors that open onto an expansive green lawn, allowing for flexible indoor and outdoor programming. Breck Create manages the facility, hosting summer repertoires from the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra and National Repertory Orchestra alongside visiting bands, multimedia events, film screenings, and visual art exhibitions. Facility upgrades completed between 2014 and 2016 enhanced the venue’s technical capabilities, supporting its role as a year-round cultural hub for local artists and visitors alike.
